Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. Burrell hosts her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive spiky blond locks and pumped up appearance, offers the basics of cooking that any person can master. Chef Burrell has worked at New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary practices and the geography. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. While growing up in New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. After earning an English and Communication diploma in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the industry of restaurants by registering in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable opportunity for me. It was impossible to learn and do enough or put in the hours. After graduating, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. In Italy Burrell developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian culinary and cultural traditions. It is a huge influence on the way that Burrell prepares her food. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps children with obstacles. She speaks about her cooking passion and shares her knowledge of the culinary world as she frequently is in the United States for the roles of mentors and speakers. Anne often has mentioned throughout her professional career that she feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to share with others what is essential for her.
