Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. She is the elder sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko is a Muay Thai boxer started her professional fight career during her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was victorious in this event by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and a medal with gold in 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia began her professional journey when she was in the year 2003. She has taken home numerous titles including the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas during the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was achieved by unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut came in 2002, at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She took the fight via TKO in round 2 and the two subsequent matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a hiatus to concentrate on kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa in a unanimous decision and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the fight. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a UFC Contract after this victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC at The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous victory, however she fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi via a split decision. Antonina bounced off the loss and fought Lucie Prudilova's fight at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler by submitting a rear naked choke. It was the top fight of night for the fight. Shevchenko lost 1-2 in her next 3-fights she lost to Ariane Lipski and falling to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina recently lost by TKO in the second round to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
