Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in his signature style. She has performed on Broadway, at the Democratic National Convention and in clubs and festivals throughout Europe. Sunshine has the name Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by playing the piano and singing in the church. She attended Spellman College and began to learn the R&B styles of Atlanta. The very first track to showcase her vocals was Stalk You the Japanese version of 12 song. It was remixed and has become a component of her set. The Fighting Temptations was the other soundtrack she sang on. She took on the role of primary keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning performer) offered her an opportunity to be the choir conductor for Dreamgirls in Atlanta in the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for several performances throughout the Democratic National Convention in 2008. She was invited to sing as part of Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
